A land of magical adventures and exciting thrills, Universal Studios Singapore is not to be missed on your family vacation in the Lion City, and here are some insights into this amazing theme park.
Getting There
Located on Sentosa Island, this Resorts World Sentosa attraction is around a 15-minute drive away from Grand Park City Hall and a 10-minute taxi ride from the Central Business District. You can alternatively get there via the Sentosa Express from Level 3 of the VivoCity mall or cable car from
HarbourFront Tower ll. From VivoCity, you can also stroll (15 to 20 minutes) along a boardwalk to Sentosa.
Tickets
Just as you would make a reservation at one of the best family friendly hotels in Singapore, you can book ahead your tickets to Universal Studios; check www.rwsentosa.com for details and while you can buy tickets at the park, keep in mind that there’s a daily limit, making online booking an ideal option. To avoid long queues on certain rides or shows, consider getting the Universal Express or Universal Express Unlimited pass as well.
Different Zones
There are six themed zones at Universal Studios Singapore with corresponding rides and attractions, so it helps to check what they are when planning your visit. Sci-Fi City home to a 3D ride featuring the TRANSFORMERS and the Battlestar Galactica duelling roller coaster as well as Far Far Away with its enchanting castle and fairy tale characters are popular; The Lost World with its Jurassic Park dinosaurs and Ancient Egypt which has an indoor rollercoaster amidst darkness are some of the other highlights!
Keep in Mind
Because of the theme park’s popularity, it can get crowded so weekday visits are worth considering with a chance there will be relatively shorter queues for rides. Wear comfortable attire and shoes since it can get hot and bring a spare set of clothes if you intend to go on rides where you may get wet; lockers for storage are available for an added fee. Also, keep in mind that rides will each have a different minimum height requirement so check ahead via the official website site or the Universal Studios Singapore app.
