Having opened its doors to the public in 1959, the Ningbo Railway Station has helped locals and tourists get around for decades. Here’s how to navigate this sprawling transportation hotspot.

There are two main train stations in the city of Ningbo and they are the Ningbo East Railway Station and the Ningbo Railway Station. The latter is situated in Haishu District, just 3km away from the heart of the downtown area. Ningbo East Station, in contrast, is located in Yinzhou. Operational since 1959, the railway station is spread out across 63,000m2 and boasts sixteen railway tracks and eight platforms and serves 125 trains daily.
Different Levels

The Ningbo Railway Station is divided into 5 floors with the entrance and ticketing areas located on 1F Level and the main underground passage exits occupying B1 Level. The departure hall is found on the 2F Level while the Mezzanine of 2F where restaurants and commercial areas of the train station are found. B2 Level and B1 Level contain metro stations.
Transport Services
Although it is called a railway station, the Ningbo Station offers a wide variety of transportation methods including taxi services, a city bus line and two metro lines. The main reason why those based at Pan Pacific Ningbo and many other 5-star hotels in Ningbo, China flock to the venue is for the efficient metro service.
The Metro
The metro lines at Ningbo Railway Station not only connect passengers with the downtown area but also the Ningbo Airport. The affordable fares and the quick transfer times make Metro Line 2, a particular favorite among travelers and even local commuters. Trains are available from 6.25 am to 10.25 pm.
