The Yangon Zoological Gardens in Myanmar is said to be one of the biggest next to the Nay Pyi Taw zoological gardens and has been around for a very long period of time.
Wide species
The zoo attracts over 2.2 million visitors each year because of the wide species of animals; 145 species of land animals with 8 endangered ones.
Fauna and Flora
Not only the fauna, it’s also the flora that provides an interesting spectacle to visitors and serves as an additional attraction. The zoo had over 15,000 pieces of Flora in 2000. This park consists of a natural history museum, an amusement park, and an aquarium. Till 2011 the zoo was run by the Department of Forests and is currently managed by a private company.

The zoo has been established in an extent of land spanning 42 acres, close to the Royal Kandawgyi Lake.
