Hua Hin has long been associated with the Thai aristocracy beginning when some of the royal families-built summer houses there. Not too long after that it turned into a complete resort for the upper echelon. Want to learn more about Hua Hin?
History
Once a serene seaside village, Hua Hin rapidly evolved into a resort for the one percent crowd of Bangkok. Now, it cannot be called idyllic anymore as it is a bustling arena of fancy hotels. Keep in mind that this is not a pedestrian-friendly town!
Weather
Hua Hin has a tropical climate with heavy humidity and temperatures averaging around 30°C throughout the year. December to April remains dry while in May the monsoon season begins, and the rains somewhat continue until November.
Budget
While Hua Hin is a moneyed town, it can still prove to be a good vacation for those who aren’t looking to break the bank. The local cuisine is not dear, and the public transport will help you get around. When looking for Hua Hin hotels, you’ll come across many options such as Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas for instance.
What to See
The Klai Kangwon is the King’s summer palace and while the inside is closed off, the grounds are open for strolling about, though be sure to keep your passport with you! The Hua Hin beach is also another spot to hit up as it’s got plenty of space down the coastline and there are a plethora of vendors to eat in case the seawater makes you hungry.
