If you decide to travel to Oman, keep in mind that no matter which time of the year you get there, the country is hot! However, there are times of the year when the heat is less than on other days. Here’s a brief guide to help you select the perfect time for your visit to Oman.
Best time to visit Muscat
Muscat is located towards the northern part of the country and is a tourist hotspot with lovely beaches and even local spas. From November to February, temperatures here are pleasant at an average of 27° with very less rainfall. It is the ideal time to experience Muscat.
Best time to visit Wahiba Sands
For those who want to experience the desert, Wahiba Sands is the place to be. The ideal time to visit this part of Oman would be in October and March. You can also visit during the off-peak season which falls in April.
Best time to visit Wadi Bani Khalid
This is one of the Oman attractions that are rarely visited by tourists but is worth the experience. To take a dip in the hidden oasis of Wadi Banki, November to April would be the perfect time.
Best time to visit Salalah
This part of Oman is a little different from the others because of the Khareef Monsoon. These winds blow in June and September, but instead of rain, it brings a light dew into the atmosphere. It can be said that Salalah is an all-year-round destination. However, most resorts like Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara recommend the months between October and April.
