Mai Khao
The village of Mai Khao has grown in popularity due to its 11 km stretch of beach and is conveniently located near the Phuket International Airport. Patong
On the island’s west coast, the town of Patong is famed for its beach and happening nightlife which is amongst the best in Thailand. When the sun sets, the town is transformed, however, especially along Bangla Road where you will find an array of go-go bars, pubs and nightclubs vying for your attention!
Karon
Karon is another town in Phuket to visit and offers a laidback setting that the whole family can enjoy. There are several idyllic beaches with the calm waters here being great for swimming and snorkelling. The town centre has some bars and restaurants, while you can shop at the Karon Bazaar where you can buy souvenirs as well. Don’t forget to also head to the temple known as Wat Karon which has a captivating Naga statue.
