The East Coast
The east coast of the island is full of Mahe island hotels, and wonderful beaches too. But this is not all, as part of a 200-year-old estate stands the Takamaka rum distillery. Visit between 11 am and 1 pm and take a short tour of this awesome sight.
The West Coast
When the west coast comes into view, the island gets narrower. This means that travelling inland from Anse Forbans leaves you on the wild west coast that is rimmed jungle-like vegetation. However, there are several hotels close by such as Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort & Casino.
The mountains
The Morne Seychellois National Park covers about a 5th of Mahe island. This part of Mahe is truly amazing and thrilling as the winding roads take you uphill into the thicket of the jungle, where you may suddenly be able to get that splendid view.
