All lives faced an unexpected turn when the pandemic hit the globe in a wave. This resulted in strict travel restrictions, each of its own kind to every country. Similarly, the Caribbean Islands have imposed their own set of rules, each varying according to the 13 independent islands for travelers that come in, while other countries have also issued travel advisories on the islands as well.
Barbados
While the US CDC Travel Advisory rates Barbados under level 4, a very high level of risk which recommends tourists not to visit Barbados, the island only approves entrance of fully vaccinated travelers from interCaribbean Airways or any other airline where a negative PCR or Rapid Antigen test must be presented on arrival.
The Bahamas
Searching for the safest places to travel in the Caribbean? If you are considering the peaceful, sunny beaches of the Bahamas – here is what you need to keep in mind! All travellers, whether fully vaccinated or not are required to carry a negative PCR test result, not older than 72 hours, and are required to apply for the Bahamas Travel Health Visa by simply filling out the application. However, this requirement is no longer applicable to Bahamian citizens and residents.
Aruba
Explore mysterious caves and magnificent landscapes in Aruba while keeping their health guidelines in mind. As of 15th March 2022, Aruba no longer requests travellers to carry a negative PCR result or proof of vaccination. However, all tourists are required to fill out the embarkation or disembarkation card of Aruba before their arrival, while possessing a Visitor’s Insurance is also made mandatory.
Dominican Republic
A greener vacation for environmental lovers. All passengers who present proof of vaccination, and negative PCR test results obtained within 72 hours of travel are exempt from the random testing upon arrival. However, if any passenger is discovered with symptoms, regardless of a negative PCR test result, he/she will be isolated to authorised locations.
