Lamma Island is one of the rare places in Hong Kong that still holds on to its past, the ancestral customs in fishing methods and more.
The Morning
Step out of the hotels in Wan Chai Hong Kong the likes of Cosmo Hotel Wan Chai Hong Kong and begin your day by taking the ferry to Yung Shue Wan, walking around the quaint fishing town and start the hike to Sok Kwu Wan.
On your way up this hike, you will pass beaches, local temples, and beaches. You could stop at one of the many seafood places to have a snack, or stop for lunch instead, during your hike down the path.
Coming down
If you don’t have much time to spare, you can always skip the hike and stick to just the ferry rides. The ride alone will show you the magnificent skyline of Lamma Island and you can get off at the town and enjoy some great seafood meals.
End the day
What trip is complete without a sunset to end it with a flourish? Lamma Island is no different, seat yourself at a good spot on the beach, and watch the sun go down, disappearing behind the mountains as dusk grows upon you.
