Dubai is one of the most interesting places in the Middle East. Be it fun, adventure, cultural thrill, or scenery, Dubai has it all. But what are the Do’s and Don’ts here? Let’s find out.
Don’t drink in public
Yes, Dubai is a luxury destination- but it maintains zero levels of tolerance for alcohol and drugs. You can enjoy drinks with your friends at licensed bars and restaurants, but never in public!
Use the metro
You may opt to travel in a cab in Dubai, but this is a pointless expense. You have metros going all around the city, and they are cheaper too. To access metros easily, choose to stay at any of the hotel apartments near Metro Stations in Dubai the likes of Citadines Metro Central Dubai.
Dress modestly
There are no strict rules on how you should dress when in Dubai, but dressing modestly is encouraged. Wearing bikinis (swimsuits) at your resort pool is fine, but not anywhere else.
Respect the local traditions
Dubai is a Muslim country, so you will surely have to respect their rules and rituals. Do not initiate hand gestures even when greeting because that can sometimes be considered offensive.
