While there are many historical and cultural attractions in Vietnam’s capital, don’t forget the many malls in Hanoi too which not only offer plenty of shopping but dining and entertainment as well.
Trang Tien Plaza
Starting things off is Trang Tien Plaza near the French Quarter within easy reach of properties like Somerset West Point Hanoi. Spread across five stories, this mall features luxury fashion making it ideal for fashionistas in search of designer brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, BVLGARI and Burberry. Home décor and electronics can also be found here along with a supermarket, fast-food chains, and international restaurants.
Lotte Center Hanoi
Within the first six floors of this towering building is the Lotte Department Store which can be easily reached by those based at a serviced apartment Hanoi has to offer beside the West Lake. Each floor offers a diverse array of products be it women’s and men’s fashion, jewellery, shoes, watches, home appliances, handbags, cosmetics, or houseware. There are dining options too, while don’t miss heading up to the building’s observation deck for stunning panoramas of the city.
Vincom Mega Mall Royal City
Shoppers will be spoilt for choice when they head to Vincom Mega Mall Royal City; within its European-style exterior are around 800 shops and a huge hypermarket all vying for your attention! International brands like Zara, Lacoste, Adidas, and H&M are on offer as well, while the food court has eclectic dining options. This mall is a great place to visit with the family too since it has a cineplex, ice skating rink and even a huge indoor water park!
Hang Da Market
For a different shopping experience, visit the Hang Da Market which is a relatively small three-storey mall. This is an ideal place to shop for inexpensive bags, clothes, accessories, and shoes and unlike some of the other retail hubs, you can bargain for discounts. This mall also features stalls where you can purchase some great souvenirs from handicrafts to artwork. Also, keep in mind that it’s popular amongst the locals so it can get crowded on public holidays and weekends.
