Found right by the city of Hefei, this lake is one of the 5 biggest water bodies in China. The lake covers about 800 square kilometres and has a vast amount of marine life living inside of it. The Hui Garden
Nestled within the zone of Economic and Technological Development, this garden is a great place for you to learn about the culture of the area. Spreading out for over 20 hectares, this place is close to the Huaihe and Yangzte Rivers. The main garden is divided into two, the Wannan and the Wanbei area. The style of architecture in the garden is highly influenced by Hui.
Historical and cultural attractions
If you want to explore the history and culture of Hefei in-depth, then you must make a visit to the Memorial Temple of Lord Bao. This is found in the city centre and within the Baohe Park. Built to honour the memory of a well-respected officer who worked for the Northern Song Dynasty, this temple’s architecture speaks volumes about the Qing Dynasty.
