One of the most noteworthy attractions in Tongli Ancient Town is the Retreat & Reflection Garden that is situated within a driving distance from properties such as Ascott Midtown Suzhou. In 2001, it was recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the other Suzhou Gardens.
Meeting of the Immortals
Tongli’s Meeting of the Immortals is commemorated by activities such as boating, rowing, and stilt walking. It traditionally falls on the 14th of April according to the lunar calendar; however, it is staged as a three-day event along with a variety of folk performances and other exhibitions.
