This is the former house of the celebrated architect Geoffrey Bawa turned into a museum for public viewing. Geoffrey Bawa is the genius behind the unique contemporary architecture of the best hotels in Sri Lanka.
Location
He lived in the Bawa house for ten years from 1960 to 1970. The address of the house is No 11, 33rd lane Bagatelle road Colombo 03. Visitors seeking accommodation in hotels in the area such as Anantara Kalutara Resort can easily access the Geoffrey Bawa. Hotel bookings can be made online too.
Viewing
The house is available for public viewing only by prior appointments. Tour times are at 10 am, 2 pm and 3.30 pm from Mondays to Saturdays and 10 am on Sundays. Entrance fee per person is 1000LKR.

The house is a specimen of Bawa’s architectural insight with a twist of traditional detail with a modern flair. The interior of the house is designed with custom furnishing. There are also a couple of vintage cars parked in the garage for showcase as well.
