The city is placed in a strategic position on the strait between the Indian Ocean and the South China sea perfectly complemented by its deep-water harbour. Thanks to its quick development, you can get both cheap and luxurious hotel rooms in Singapore for all kinds of lifestyles.
Known as…
Singapore is also known as Lion City or Garden City. The latter is thanks to its recent boom in development that resulted in reclaimed land being turned to tree-lined streets and epic structures that serve as conservatories. The people are predominantly Chinese with Malay and Indian minorities.
History
The history tells of a Sumatran prince who came over to Singapore and saw a lion thus naming it Singapura. It was then, “re-founded” by Sir Stamford Raffles of the British East India Company as a trading site thanks to its sufficient port.
The Port
That port is today one of the largest in the world as easily visible from most hotels including Naumi Hotel Singapore. The port operates six gateways and provides facilities for all kinds of vessels from ocean liners to freight pullers.
