The Merlion is situated in Merlion Park which is less than 10 minutes from Citadines Mount Sophia Singapore. It can be visited on 1 Fullerton which is right in front of the Marina Bay waterfront. The statue is 70 tonnes of concrete and stands at 8.7 metres with the iconic waterspout pouring out of its mouth.

The Merlion is not just a mythical creature it is said to be distinct symbol; the lower fish half depicting Singapore’s humble origins as a tiny fishing village. The head of the lion depicts Singapore’s original name Singapura – which is Malay for Lion City.
