The Bee Gees Way is a dedicated pathway to the famous band, located in Redcliffe Queensland, Australia. The Moreton Bay Regional Council opened a 70 metre mural pathway which connects Redcliffe Parade and Sutton Street in 2013 and subsequently renamed this alley to Bee Gees Way, to honour Barry, Robin, Maurice and Andy Gibb. The Grand Opening of the Bee Gee stage 2 starred the famous face of Barry Gibb himself in 2015. The walk way is a celebration of the Gibb brothers’ career in multimedia platforms, as well as their link to Redcliffe. Entrance to the walkway is completely free and open every day and night, so tourists can visit at anytime to learn and appreciate the group. The pathway even features a life size statute of the four brothers when they were young, along with 13 album covers and more than 60 photographs taken during the band’s successful career and personal lives.
The mural also depicts some never before seen footage of their performances. Recently built was the life size statue of the Bee Gees as adults taken from the ‘One Night Only’ album.
Visitors should also keep an eye out for the sculpture of the revolving yellow rings on the waterside of the walk way where there are daily light and music shows held every 30 minutes from 7pm to 9:30 pm.
