With a cluster of waves that suits anyone from beginners to surfing veterans, Canggu is a splendid location to try out your hands at this adrenaline-inducing sport; surfing is pretty much considered on of the best things to do in Canggu. Although Canggu doesn’t have the characteristic white sand beaches found elsewhere on the island, its stunning rice terraces and proximity to some chill restaurants and properties such as Nirjhara make up for it.
Batu Bolong
A surfing spot ideal for beginners and amateurs, Batu Bolong features relatively slow waves. It is an excellent spot for those who like surfing a longboard and stand up paddling as well.
Berawa
Suited more to the average and advanced surfer, Berawa is a place where you will find a lot of rocky reefs. The size of the waves at this sea rises between 3 to 8 feet. Fringing the beach are vendors who rent surfing equipment. One can also find plenty of cafés at this place.
Old Man’s
Named after a nearby bar, Old Man’s is often confused with Batu Bolong, as they are located adjacent to each other. Waves of Old Man’s are much faster than that of its neighbour’s.
Echo Beach
When someone speaks about surfing in Canggu, Echo Beach takes a foremost place in their minds. As Bali started gaining popularity, this beach was the main attraction for tourists. One can find three surfing spots on this beach.
