Thick vegetation, beaches strewn with boulders, UNESCO sites, water sports, wildlife sanctuaries and delicious food are some of the details of a trip taken to Seychelles. Located close to the equator, near Kenya, Seychelles are a group of islands abounding in natural beauty. Often cited as a playground for the rich, it’s every traveller’s dream to visit the islands at least once in their lifetime.
Praslin Island
Also known as the Golden Coast, Praslin Island is the perfect place for families travelling with kids. With the beach stretching 1 ½ miles, it hardly gets crowded. The soft white sand is ideal for sunbathing and warm azure waters are inviting to swimmers.
Beau Vallon
One of the most gorgeous beach areas in Seychelles, Beau Vallon is another attraction that makes Seychelles the ultimate tropical getaway. Surrounded by all inclusive resorts in Seychelles, shops, restaurants and bars, the beach is perfect for water sports and soaking up the sun rays. Don’t worry if you haven’t brought any water sports gear with you, there are plenty of water sports schools that rent equipment for reasonable rates.
Victoria
35 minutes from Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas is Victoria, Seychelles’ capital. A commercial hub and a tourist hotspot, Victoria offers a different array of things to do and see. Although the city is somewhat crowded – being the 3rd most populous city in the country – Victoria manages to hold onto its provincial character. Sightseeing can be done on foot, and you better take your camera with you to take snaps of the colonial structures – one being the clock tower. The Seychelles National Gardens are the main attraction, but you will also find a handful of restaurants serving delicious local food.
