How to Reach Phuket Big Buddha

The Project
The construction of the project began in the year 2004. Sitting atop Nakkered Hill, Phuket Big Buddha, known in many other terms like Ming Mongkol Buddha, The Great Buddha of Phuket and Phra Phutta Ming Mongkol Eknakiri was on the road to expansion by 2015. In 2017, the construction of the statue was concluded as the third tallest statue in Thailand.
The Details
The 45 metres tall and 25.45-metre-wide Buddha statue is in a sitting position. The statue is built in true Thai devotion with concrete and Burmese white marble being the primary material used to bring it to life. The Phuket Big Buddha was declared the Buddhist Treasure of Phuket in the year 2008 by the Supreme Patriarch of Thailand, Somdet Phra Yanasangwon.
