If you want to see the sheer beauty of Sri Lanka, why not do it in an unconventional way from the air and set off on a paragliding adventure? Let us explain all the details to you.
Understanding the Flight Types
Before you go paragliding it is important to understand the types of flights. The actions fall under two categories: launching and landing. These processes have an in-between which is used while in flight and there are three such variations as mentioned below.
1. Soaring
The first kind is paragliding which is done with the help of the wind. The air lifts you up and you must be able to glide on the currents with the aid of the wind. These are usually done around beach hotels like The Blue Water Hotel and Spa.
2. Cross Country
Cross country flying is moving from one thermal to another. You need some significant knowledge in paragliding before attempting this and it’s always advised to try with a professional.
3. Thermal Flying
Thermal flying usually occurs around one place where the pilot flies in circles using the thermals. This is relatively easier to learn. And can be done around places such as the beach resorts in Sri Lanka.
