Yangon was Myanmar’s capital some years ago. Now, Nay Pyi Taw is the capital city with an international airport too. Here are a few details on this new capital!
Uppatasanti Pagoda
For someone who spends his vacation at hotels like PARKROYAL Nay Pyi Taw, it maybe a little difficult to travel to Yangon to visit the Shwedagon Pagoda. But don’t worry about it, because Nay Pyi Taw has the Uppatasanti Pagoda which looks pretty much the same and is as equally beautiful to visit.
The National Museum
It’s the best place to visit if you want to learn some facts about the heritage and national prestige of Myanmar. There are many rooms to explore such as the Art Gallery, Performing Arts Exhibition and the Leaders Exhibition.
Three Kings Statue
These three tall statues are in remembrance of King Anawrahta, King Bayinnaung, and King Alaungpaya who are considered as the greatest kings when exploring the history of Myanmar.
Myanmar International Convention Centre (MICC)
Located very close to some of the most popular Nay Pyi Taw hotels, MICC is the venue that once hosted the ASEAN Tourism Forum. This landmark is also famous among the tourists for great photo backdrops.
