Overview
Located a few nautical miles off the coast of the south male atoll, Kuda Giri is an enticing dive site that features scattered remains of a wreck and a pinnacle all of which have been reclaimed by corals. At this site, divers have the opportunity to penetrate the wreck in several places and they could see numerous marine creatures – the biodiversity in and around the wreck is quite impressive.
What could you see
As mentioned before, the dive site features quite an impressive collection of marine life. the creatures a diver could easily spot here are tube corals, colourful sponges, cup corals. Glassfish, shrimp, Batfish and triggerfish. You also have a fair chance of spotting, manta rays, sea turtles, octopi, and If you get lucky you could see guitar sharks and whale sharks as well.
Is it safe?
You will be guided and instructed by a team of specialist divers throughout the duration of the activity and you will be given an informative brief about the experience as well. The dive site is one of the safest diving spots in the Maldives with comparatively shallow waters and hardly any current.
