Are you hoping to visit one of the most visited and most photographed mosques in the Emirate of Dubai? Here’s what you need to know before you go.
Hotel Accommodation
You’re never too far away from any one of the 5 star resorts in Dubai. From well-regarded hotel chains and hotels such as the likes of Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort to other boutique and exclusive resorts, Dubai is teeming with the very best of hotel stays.
Open to All
In an emirate teeming with so many mosques what sets this mosque apart is that it is open to non-worshipping visitors. As a result, this is widely popular with those who want to get a taste of the cultural side of Dubai.
Who Built It?
This stunning white mosque was built by HH Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who was the sovereign ruler of Dubai at the time. It was built in record time in a mere 3 years despite its sprawling size and is also featured on the AED 500 note!
Things to Note
The mosque is open daily from 10 AM to 8 PM to both locals and tourists alike. But, while the entrance is free for everyone, one can opt for a paid tour of this magnificent structure and grounds. It’s also best to dress conservatively out of respect for this place of worship.
