Thailand is a beautiful country, rich is wildlife, culture and history which makes it great for exploring. Here’s a quick guide for first timers visiting Thailand.
What to wear
Thailand is a hot, humid country and if sun and heat is what you’re after, rest assured you’ll get plenty of it. Wear loose comfortable clothing, shorts and strapless shirts are recommended, but remember to cover up before visiting a temple. Always wear sunblock.
Be responsible
Don’t be a typical tourist who wants to do things for the sake of a great picture. Elephant rides, tiger temples, snake farms, and other forms of attractions that uses animals for entertainment should be boycotted.
Book early
Whether you’re looking for waterparks, hotels or anything else, book well in advance. If you’re staying at a hotel in Khon Kaen, look for some great deals. Booking in advance at properties such as AVANI Khon Kaen Hotel & Convention Centre is recommended as they tend to fill up fast during peak season.
Food
Despite wanting to eat the “iconic” list of Thai food; head to the nearest street stall or roadside restaurant and try some other type so less common food. Your taste buds will not be disappointed.
