The Sultanate of Oman is one of the most prosperous countries in the world, and it is also quite massive. Given the size of the nation, certain areas have a diverse range in geography. Salalah is one such place. Since Oman is located in the Middle East, most of it is primarily sandy or rocky desert. Salalah however, can contain sprawling green land in certain areas. Salalah is also where the present Sultan was born, and therefore attracts a lot of visitors during special seasons. Since it is a popular tourist attraction there is many a hotel and beach resort in Salalah to choose from such as the Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara.
Given that Oman is a very conservative and traditional country, the nightlife is quite subtle and very low-key. Despite that, there are a few pubs and clubs where you can enjoy a good night out on your weekend. Alcoholic establishments are pretty much exclusively located at the many hotels and resorts that are scattered throughout the region.
If you’re looking for an English sports pub sort of atmosphere, there’s Mayfair. It is a very popular place for people to gather and watch their favourite sporting events over a few mugs of beer. The bar is also popular for its elegant atmosphere, with dark brown furniture and a cozy feel.
For something a bit more lucrative, there’s the Al Luban Night Club. It is an exuberant locale featuring exquisite food and performances by artists both locally and internationally renowned.
Perhaps the most famous of night-time hotspots in Salalah is the Al Khareef Pub, which is completely bustling with activity during certain seasons. It is sophisticated but yet casual place to hang out. Given that it has a spectacular view of the Arabian Sea as a backdrop; Al Khareef Pub is an all-rounder.
Although Salalah might not be as notorious as Dubai, there’s much beauty to be seen, and the nightlife also contains many charms.
