The city of Bangkok is an incredibly versatile travel destination, offering adventures for children, families and solo adults alike. When it comes to nightlife, Bangkok is easily one of the best places since the city really comes to life at night. There are three main areas worth exploring with more specific locations and districts within them.
The first place you should visit is Sukhumvit. This is the most famous area when it comes to Bangkok nightlife where you will discover everything from karaoke bars to incredible restaurants in Bangkok Thailand with some even located in hotels such as Anantara Baan Rajprasong Bangkok Serviced Suites. Nana is the heart of Sukhumvit nightlife where all the most frequented locales are located, from beer bars to top nightclubs. The Thong Lor area, contains some of the country’s finest wine and cocktail bars, as well as the most striking ladies, where many of them are movie-stars.
While Sukhumvit attracts many tourists and expats, the Khaosan crowd mostly consists of young backpackers. Many of Bangkok’s most popular bars are located in this area such as Gulliver’s and 999 West. Due to the mostly young crowd, Khaosan is a place that parties everyday of the year, but you will definitely find a bigger crowd on Friday and Saturday.
RCA, which stands for Royal City Avenue, is the biggest nightlife area in Bangkok where size is concerned. This area is a lot more sophisticated and is popular with privileged foreigners and young Thai socialites. Some of the biggest bars in RCA include Route 66 and Slim. There are many kinds of bars to choose from as well, each with a distinct theme or crowd. If you’re heading to RCA be sure to wear trousers and shoes, since most bars here have a very strict no shorts, sandals or flip-flops policy.
If you’re looking for a memorable nightlife experience in Bangkok, be sure to check out either one or all of these places.
