Hua Hin is a land full of entertainment, and avid golfers will find their interests as filled as any adventure-seeker or sightseer. Sporting a wide range of golf courses, you can find many ranges of earth, from green fairways to treacherous bunkers, sure to keep the game interesting enough that you’ll want to visit any time you’ve got the need.
Royal Hua Hin Golf Course
The oldest 18-holer in Thailand, this golf course was commissioned all the way back in 1924 to accommodate the needs of the British and Thai aristocracy. It is also a mere five minutes away from downtown Hua Hin, where many great hotels such as the Avani+ Hua Hin Resort lie within reach.
Banyan Golf Club
This award-winning club is built amongst a former pineapple plantation, a picturesque and well-maintained establishment that has been winning awards since its establishment in 2008. Since then, awards such as the “Top 3 in Asia” and “Rolex Top 1000 in the World” have found themselves beneath the Banyan Golf Club banner.
Black Mountain Golf Club
Initially a lush jungle, this club area was transformed into a golf course, set in a valley that’s surrounded by mountains of black granite, and was the site of several world-famous PGA tour events in 2009 and 2010. The quality of the course also guaranteed a spot in the 100 best courses outside the USA, every year since 2012. Being only half an hour away from the city, it’s a great detour from any hotel in Hua Hin.
Springfield Royal Country Club
Designed by Jack Nicklaus, this top-rated golf club is an excellent alternative to the pricier courses on this list. It meets the high standards of a professional course but is also suitable for players of all skill levels, providing five tees for each hole on the course – an enjoyable challenge across the board.
