Drive to Queenstown
If you choose to drive to Queenstown, you will get to drive past idyllic landscapes and the most scenic views. You can either hop on a bus, join a coach tour or drive by yourself. The roads are very well maintained and there are signposts everywhere guiding you throughout your journey. If you choose to take the highway, they are fully sealed and perfectly safe for a solo journey. There are daily coaches and backpacker tour buses you can take easily as well.
Getting around
It is really easy to get around in Queenstown, there are multiple ferries and public buses you can take. You can rent a car if you prefer a more private mode of transport. There are also places where you can rent a bike; most restaurants and attractions here have bike racks and some companies even provide add-ons for vehicles so that you can carry them easily.
