A genius painter by definition, George Keyt is truly a legend well known among the many Sri Lankan artists. Redefining the very definition of art by his masterpieces, it must be emphasized that Sri Lanka arts has been greatly enriched by his contributions and today he stands, a true giant amongst the many talented Sri Lanka artists who has ever lived in this tiny pearl of a land. While his work is greatly influenced by cubism, the Buddhist philosophy and also his vast knowledge of Hinduism has played a great part in his work.
