Mangrove Nature Reserve
Among Shenzen’s concrete jungle is a green corridor of dense mangroves known as the Mangrove Nature Reserve. This tropical paradise within the city is host to a vast number of birds who have made these lush mangroves their homes. This reserve attracts birdwatchers from all over the city and is frequented by the locals living in the various Shenzen accommodation options on offer.
Bi Jia Mountain
Just off the coast of Liaodong Bay lies the three peaked island-mountain of Bi Jia. It is a popular destination for locals and tourist alike with the 10-meter long cobblestone passage and the beautiful city view overlooking the Shenzhen Bay being its main attractions. Bi Jia Mountain is only an hour’s drive from the residential district of Shenzen and is an easy visit from nearby hotels and apartments like Ascott Maillen Shenzhen.
Xiasha Village
The folk village of Xiasha is a true jewel of Shanzen’s heritage. Located in the southwest of Futian District Shenzhen, this village has held onto its tradition and culture. It is home to the Ancestral Hall of Huang and the Xiasha Village Museum that records over 800 years of Xiasha history. This small town is famous for its martial arts performances, Cantonese opera performances, and the famous Pen Cia dish which attracts many visitors.
Easy access to Hong Kong
Futian Port and Huanggang Port are very convenient ways to travel to Hong Kong, these ports are open from 06:30 to 22:30, and Metro Line 4 passes through this port. As such, once you experienced all the splendour that Futian has to offer, you can even cross on over to Hong Kong and look for even more adventures.
