Since opening in early 2017, the FLC Safari Zoo Park has become quite the popular attraction in Quy Nhon. Tourists and travellers from around the world flock to the zoo to witness and interact with the over-900 different animals sheltered here.
When to Go
If possible, the spring months are the best time to visit the park. During this season the animals are more active as the weather is mild and comfortable. What’s more, this is the birthing season for several species, so you might just be lucky enough to witness the park’s newest residents arrive in the world.
Meet the Animals
The safari park covers an area that’s around 38.5 hectares in the area – this is home to an array of rare and endangered wildlife. Inhabitants include herds of Masai giraffe from Africa, curious sloth bears from Asia and graceful swans from Europe. As such, if you’re staying in a Quy Nhon hotel such as the Anantara Quy Nhon Villas, there’s no reason not to head on over and witness this wonderful menagerie of life.
Fun Activities
Aside from viewing all the animals, there’s plenty of activities to do here as well. Notably, you can pet and interact with some of the docile animals – even feed them! You can also rent a bike and ride around the premises, taking in all the sights or go for a relaxing kayaking session in the river.
Where to Eat
After all the fun the park has to offer, you’re no doubt going to work up an appetite as the day winds down. Fortunately, the streets surrounding the park are full of charming restaurants and cafes. Something to definitely try out is the Quy Nhon cakes – these are fluffy, sweet and available at any street shop.
