Singapore’s Botanical Garden is simply an attraction that no one misses to explore if you are on a tour to Singapore. Not just as it has a great scenic view with flora and fauna, but as it gives a lot of learnings too.
It’s the most popular park in Singapore
Located within close vicinity to Orchard Road hotels in Singapore, including resorts such as Grand Park Orchard, this landscape garden is loved by both domestic and foreign visitors alike. It attracts more than 4 million visitors a year on an average count.
The first children’s garden of Asia is here
Inside this same garden, there is a mini-garden named Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden, and as the name suggests it’s a children’s park in which they can play and learn about plant life too.
There are VIP Orchids here
The Botanical Garden features a separate section for orchids and if you explore it well, you will be able to see that the orchids have been named after VIPs such as Elton John, Princess Diana, and Nelson Mandela.
It has the oldest ornamental water body in the country
This garden has the oldest ornamental water-feature which has been constructed in 1866. They have named it the ‘Swan Lake’ and it’s home to numerous species of fish and plants.
