Spread across 40 galleries and exhibition spaces, the museum’s collections feature cultural objects, artworks and natural history specimens that total a whopping 13 million!
History and Art
History lovers and art enthusiasts have much to enjoy here including the Eaton Gallery of Rome with Canada’s largest Roman artefact collection. Also of note are the Galleries of Africa that cover Nubian and Egyptian civilizations, Wirth Gallery of the Middle East and the Matthews Family Court of Chinese Sculpture covering various mediums.
Natural History
Kids are bound to love the galleries that focus on the Age of Dinosaurs complete with fossil dinosaur skeletons of a Barosaurus and T-Rex.
