Getting There
This market is in the Yau Ma Tei area of Jordan near Nathan Road in Kowloon and within a 10-minute taxi ride from Park Hotel Hong Kong. This stretch of road which runs for around one kilometre can be accessed via the Jordan or Yaumatei Tin Hau Temple MTR stations; those travelling by bus can get off at the Shanghai Street or Temple Street Jordon stops.
What to Expect
The area where the market is held closes for vehicles from around 2:00 pm as vendors begin to set up their stalls. Those visiting here from close by Tsim Sha Tsui hotels will notice the activity starting to pick up from 4:00 pm and it gets livelier at night which is the best time to visit. Open till midnight, this shopping hotspot features vendors offering all manner of products, plenty of street food and even distinctive aspects like fortune tellers and traditional Cantonese opera!

You will be spoilt for choice when shopping at the Temple Street Night Market which is a popular place for buying souvenirs and unique mementoes like Chinese dresses, chopsticks and antiques. Of course, you can find lots of clothing and accessories though be wary of vendors who promise “genuine” designer brands for cheap! On your exploration, you will also come across handmade suits, footwear, electronics, traditional handicrafts, tea-ware, watches, jade and much more. Street Food
Amongst the best things to do in Hong Kong for foodies is to enjoy culinary adventures at this market which features open-air restaurants and small food stalls known as “dai pai dong”.
