Designed by an Argentinian architect known as César Pelli, the twin towers were built according to a distinctive post-modern architecture of the 21st century. The construction commenced in 1992 and was open to the public in 1999.
Architecture
The building has 88 stories and stands at a height of 452 meters. It was built based on Islamic art, which reflects Malaysia’s Muslim country and the floor plan is based on an eight-sided star that has traits of arabesque patterns.
The Skybridge
The skybridge is one of the outstanding focal points of the Patronas towers. Located on the 41st floor, the bridge provides a glass walkway between the two towers. Peer down 170meters from the top or choose to go a couple floors higher and visit the observation deck on the 86th floor.
