Windsurfing and sailing are popular activities on the Bentota beach, and equipment can be rented locally. Always remember to haggle for everything you hire; there is always a margin that may be cut. The Bentota Ganga and the Lulu Ganga are rivers that form a peninsula in Bentota. Water activities and boat trips are available on the rivers for anyone interested.

Attractions
If you’re here, you must visit the Brief Gardens and the Galapata Viharaya. The Gardens is a worthwhile trip from Bentota. It is made up of the house and garden of Bevis Bawa, a well-known landscape architect who began developing the property in 1929. The peaceful Galapata Temple was said to be built in the 12th century by King Parakramabahu who also built the ancient city of Polonnaruwa.

Bentota Beach offers a diverse choice of cuisines, including top-notch seafood, Sri Lankan cuisine, and foreign cuisine. Many five-star hotels are also located in the neighbourhood, ensuring that you get the greatest meals in an ideal setting. Even though peak season might be busy at night in the bars, the nightlife is pretty tranquil.
