The Wheel Brisbane stands 60m at its highest point and was opened to the public in August, 2008, as part of the 150th Anniversary celebrations of the State of Queensland. The wheel itself is a Bussink R60 transportable wheel, and has a total of 42 “gondolas” attached to it to carry passengers.

The Wheel of Brisbane offers its passengers a ride that lasts approximately 12 minutes, in which the wheel completes four revolutions – mind you, each gondola has a stop at the very top of the wheel giving you an unparalleled view of the city. Located in close proximity to the Brisbane holiday apartments of the Oaks Lexicon Apartments, the gondolas are air-conditioned and are very cozy, giving you maximum comfort while you are treated to an amazing view of the skyline of Brisbane. The gondolas are open from all four sides, thus giving each passenger a magical 360o view of the city. We can assure you that the views you will experience while on the Wheel of Brisbane cannot be experienced anywhere else, especially given that the Wheel of Brisbane is located in the exclusive The Parklands region of the city.

A ticket to the Wheel of Brisbane is AUD 15.5 for adults, while free entrance is given to children. For that price, you will not only be treated to stunning panoramic views of Brisbane as each gondola has an audio play-over tour which pin-point the iconic landmarks of Brisbane as well as their history.
