Getting There
This well-known waterfall is located within the Kaeng Krachan National Park near the border with Myanmar. Around 60 km from the Hua Hin resort town (around a 1.5-hour drive), it’s an ideal place for an excursion from properties the likes of Anantara Hua Hin Resort; it gives you a chance to witness the captivating countryside too.
Best Time to Visit
While you can head to the Pa La-U Waterfall from your hotel in Hua Hin anytime during the year, the ideal time to visit is from May to October which is considered the rainy season; this is when the waters are flowing at their fullest. Opening times for visiting the falls are usually from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
Cascading Beauty
One of the key features of this falls is its 16 cascades / levels amidst the forest. Amongst the best things to do in Hua Hin is to hike up the different levels of the falls, though it gets harder the higher you ascend. At the lower levels, you can enjoy cool dips in the natural pools some of which have fish in them.
The Tough Climb
