Bangkok is one of the most famous metropolitan landscapes in the world and offers an insurmountable range of attractions ranging from malls, to wild-life reserves and theme-parks.
When it concerns theme-parks, one of the latest additions that is garnering international intrigue is Dinosaur Planet. This park is sure to be seen on any recent Bangkok travel guide and/or blog such as Travel Bangkok Now.
The park opened its doors in 2016 with the concept “beyond Nova in the heart of Bangkok”, and has many attractions and exhibitions that combine to provide an exhilarating and intuitive journey into all the historic periods where dinosaurs thrive, which are the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous.
The first attraction to check out would be ‘Dinosaur District’ where visitors can learn about the anatomy of iconic dinosaur species through captivating and cutting edge multimedia technology.
Within this is the Big Bone Gallery where you can examine a selection of dinosaur skeletons including species such as Brachiosaurus, Triceratops and Stegosaurus. You could even watch dinosaur eggs hatch at the ‘Dino Lab’.
‘Stars of Dino’ allow you to travel through the three separate periods and witness life-size models of many majestic creatures that roamed the land during this time.
The experience is designed to give a glimpse into what it would look like if these beasts were to exist in this very day. This particular exhibit will be particularly breath-taking if one were to experience it during the night.
The giant Ferris-Wheel situated in the park, the ‘Dino-Eye’ is the only one of its kind in the world and will allow you to see the entire theme park in all its glory, and even a great section of Bangkok.
There are also interactive experiences such as ‘Raptor X-Treme’ which provides a scenario where you will have to utilise wit and agility to escape a group of Velociraptors.
If you ever find yourself in Bangkok, this is definitely an experience not to be missed.
