The Malay House, or Rumah Penghulu is an authentic stilt house originally constructed in the north of the country. It was carefully transported and reassembled in Kuala Lumpur. Considered to be a vital part of the Malay heritage, the building which was once the home of a village headman was originally constructed in the 1920s and 1930s. The solid wood house consists of four main sections; the bedroom, living area, dining area and kitchen.
