Located at the centre of the well-renowned lake gardens, The Bird Park is one of the prime attractions of KL and it is home to over 3000 birds from 200 species from around the globe.
Zones
The park is divided into 4 different zones the zones 1 and 2 is a combined region where birds roam freely at an area designed to replicate a jungle environment. Visitors also get to interact with the birds since they have adapted to being with humans. The zone 3 is an area designated to hornbills and the zone 4 contains birds of prey, an amphitheatre and a special breeding area.
Getting there and accommodation options
Located to the southwest of China town, behind the Old Kuala Lumpur railway station the Bird Park is easily accessible by taxi from almost any part of the town. You could also reach here by bus and train. There are plenty of accommodation options near the park where you could plan your stay. Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur which is a luxury hotel in Kuala Lumpur, is an option worth considering.
Other Attractions
Two daily shows take place at the amphitheatre and also before visiting the park, get to know the feeding times at the specified zones since the feeding times provide you with the opportunity to witness the birds which stay unseen in the thick forest canopy.
