This is one of the smallest districts in Singapore and many of the attractions are within walking distance from each other. The city is quite colourful with Hindu temple, Buddhist temples and mosques all around. Here are some of the best things to do in Little India.
Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple
This is a beautiful colourful temple with colourful statues of gods and goddesses covering its exterior. The temple is a popular place for photographs. Tuesday, Friday and Sunday are days of worship here, you may visit as entrance is free, but make sure to dress appropriately.
House of Tan Teng Niah
This attraction is hard to miss with its rainbow-coloured exterior. This is a two-story building that has been restored as the last Chinese building in this district. Capture a few photos of this before indulging in a mouth-watering biriyani.
Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple
At first glance this temple might look just like Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, however, the exterior is different. This is a temple dedicated to the God Krishna who is a reincarnation of God Vishnu. There are figures of other Gods as well here. People visit every day to pay homage.
Mustafa Centre
This is a shopping centre where you will be able to buy things for a good price. Although, the aisles here are a bit too packed. The shopping centre is just 10 minutes away from many Orchard Road hotels the likes of Grand Park Orchard.
