Ballarat Wildlife Park is an interactive wildlife park situated on 37 acres of natural bush land in Corner York Street and Fussell Street, Ballarat East 3350 Australia. Presently there are around 400 species of animals, mostly native Australian animals, including koalas, wombats, quokkas, echidnas and both saltwater and freshwater crocodiles and also a wide variety of exotic reptiles. Some foreign animals include the Indian star tortoise, the American Alligator and the Aldabra giant tortoise. The Ballarat Wildlife Park which was opened by Greg Parker in 1987 is run by The Parker family and their team. The most unique feature of this Wildlife Park is that there are over 80 kangaroos roaming free and you get the opportunity to hand feed these amazing animals. You can also watch the koalas in their natural habitat from the glass enclosed viewing platform and the koala nursery. You get the opportunity to interact with koalas, wombats, and a variety of reptiles ranging from snakes to lizards and even a giant tortoise at the Reptile House.
The Ballarat Wild Life Park has the perfect tranquil setting for the whole family to relax and enjoy their picnic and watch the kangaroos and emus roaming free. The undercover café is the best place to enjoy a meal together. Also The Bushman’s Hut is an ideal function centre to hold any type of any type of event. The Ballarat Wildlife Park is open daily from 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. except on Christmas day. You also get the chance to pose for a photo with one of your favourite animals.
