Location
Located in the central part of the country, this mountain range runs along the border next to South Africa. It’s around 144 km from Maseru and will take around three hours to get there.
What to Expect

The highest peak here is the impressive Thabana Ntlenyana which reaches a height of 3,482 metres above sea level. The best time to visit the Maloti Mountains is during the dry season, which runs from May to September; this also coincides with the optimal period for skiing, especially between May and July. During the dry season, the weather is mild, and the skies are clear, making it an ideal time for hiking and other outdoor activities.
