Chiang Saen Lake
Amongst the best things to do in Chiang Saen is to visit the lake which is about 5 km from the town. It features a wetland and is an ideal place to enjoy birdwatching too; herons, ducks, kingfishers, raptors and storks can be spotted, while waders and waterfowl migrate here from November to February.
Markets & Food
Make time to explore some local markets; there is a daily market to visit, while on the weekends, a walking street market is held on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
