The Ke Ga Lighthouse was built to ward off ships from the dangerous rocks below and is also one of the best viewpoints in Mui Ne now.
About
Located on the Ke Ga Island and thus named similarly, this lighthouse was designed by Chnavat, a French designer, back in 1900. The initial work on the tower began in 1897 and ended by 1898 only.
The lighthouse itself has been in operation for the past 108 years and continues to guide ships back and forth on a daily basis. A typical beach resort in Mui Ne, for example, similar to the ones such as Anantara Mui Ne Resort will just be a short drive away from this lighthouse and the best time to visit during sunset.
From the lighthouse
The view from the lighthouse spans out to the seas and infinite skies and during sunset, people claim they cannot differentiate the sea and the sky as it all blends into one big golden pool of a view. When the tide is out, people can also walk to the island instead of taking a boat.
Though the 2,000W light is still in use and does its job perfectly, Ke Ga lighthouse is a popular tourist attraction in Mui Ne as it has history, art, architecture and gorgeous views in one package.
