Bazaruto Archipelago
Perched on the southern coast of Mozambique, Bazaruto Archipelago consists of 5 main islands; namely Bazaruto, Benguerra, Magaruque, Santa Carolina and Bangué all of which come under the purview of Bazaruto National Park. Niassa Lake and the Niassa National Reserve

On the other hand, Niassa National Reserve is the biggest national reserve in Mozambique and hosts an array of elephants, wild dogs and several other mammal species.
Quirimbas Archipelago
Consisting of 12 major islands and 20 coral atolls, the Quirimbas Archipelago winds up for about 200 km along the northern coast of Mozambique. While the archipelago has many uninhabited islands, the island hosts one of the largest mangrove swamps in Africa. The archipelago was established in 2022 and is home to a host of coastal forests, coral reefs and exotic marine life.
