Phuket is always a great idea! But if you have not travelled here before, it’s an even better idea to do some research about this holiday spot. So read on to find out more about where to stay, the weather, currency and so much more!
Accommodation
With an abundance of Phuket resorts to choose from, holidaymakers are truly spoilt for choice. Hotels such as Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas offer a wide array of room types as well so whether you’re on a solo trip or travelling in a group, there’s something for everyone in Phuket!
Humidity
One thing to note about the tropics is the humidity! The average temperature is about 30 degrees Celsius; it can feel a lot hotter because of the humidity. While it can be uncomfortable at first, make sure you wear light and comfortable clothing and you won’t be as bothered by it since you are after all, in a tropical paradise!
Sunshine and Rain
While the tropics are known for the ample sunshine, don’t be surprised if you get caught in an occasional shower! So, while Phuket is a year-round destination, you may still get caught in a bout of rain! Keep in mind September and October are the wettest months of the year, so make sure you make your travel plans accordingly.
Currency
Thailand has an official currency which is the main form of tender across its provinces and islands. It is known as the Thai Baht. But don’t worry about converting the currency you carry into Baht since there are banks and authorised money changers all over Phuket!
