Are you ready to embark on a journey to a place where you can simply sit back, relax, and take in the breathtaking views of the coastline but also want to be able to travel off the beaten path and explore a variety of options? Here’s the best itinerary for you.
Where is Krabi?
On Thailand’s southern coast, Krabi is situated between Phang Nga and Trang. It is well known for its more well-known locations, including Ao Nang, Railay, and Phang Nga Bay. It’s the ideal option for anyone searching for a less congested alternative to Phuket, as it’s only 80 minutes away by flight from Bangkok. The best time to visit is between November and April, but most places are open all year round.
Krabi Town
Krabi Town is a lively market town nestled among the remarkable limestone structures that stand out through the lush mangrove forests. It’s one of Thailand’s primary transportation hubs, making it a cosmopolitan centre in the heart of the city; you can easily find a luxury hotel to relax in such as the Avani+ Koh Lanta Krabi Resort. You can go shopping in the local bazaars, buy beautiful traditional items to bring home, and have a nice meal at a Krabi resort hotel.
Ao Nang Beach
Ao Nang is one of Krabi’s most popular beaches. Because most of the boats stop here, it’s a perfect site to start island hopping. This location is about twenty minutes from Krabi town and offers several fantastic beachfront hotels. We can’t think of a finer place to spend your first evening in Thailand before six days of touring!
Railey Beach
You definitely feel walled off from the rest of the world here, with limestone cliffs and extensive stretches of sandy beach. There are no roads and just pathways to get there. Long-tail boats are the only mode of transportation available, giving the area an old-world feel. Railay is your own tropical haven, ideal for unwinding in the warm summer sun. Plus, it’s only a 15min drive from Ao Nang.
Phang Nga Bay
Phang Nga, also known as Princess Bay, is one of Railay Beach’s most famous attractions. Phang Nga Bay is a must-see for anybody looking for magnificent natural settings, unspoilt rivers, and numerous caverns to explore. One of the nicest things about this place is that it is located within the Phang Nga Bay National Park, which means it is protected. Everything is wild and here. Because it is so unspoiled, the view is breathtaking. If you want to travel by land, you may reach the Bay via bus, but boats are readily available.
